InDesign First Attempt;
In my first attempt of using InDesign, I learned how to add a main title, images, text, dropcap and quotes from the text. Firstly I added the title by clicking the 'T' button at the left hand side. I then selected where I wanted the text to go and after typing in my title I selected the font, size and colour. Afterwards I wanted to add shadows to the title and did this by double clicking on the title. I then added a drop shadow and emboss, similar to how I did on PhotoShop. After this I wanted to add an image to my double page spread, to do this I clicked on a box on the left side and I drew a box where I wanted my image to go. I then imported my image, by clicking on file and then import. The using the white arrow I changed the size on the actual image and using the black arrow I changed the size of the box the image was in, so that I could move the image around and only select the part of the image I wanted. Next I added my text, I did this by clicking the box without the cross inside of it. I then drew the boxes within the colum lines, and I then did the same as the image and imported my text. I also altered the size and font to what I wanted. Afterwards I highlighted t

Photoshop; SpotRemovalHere I have edited Zoe's face to get rid of her spots and redness. I did this by using the healing tool, which is situated down the left hand side of photoshop. I then changed the size of the tool circle so that it was the same size as her spot. I then held the Alt button down, - it will come up with a circle with a cross inside - and clicked to the side of the spot where the skin was clear and then lifted off the Alt button and then mover my mouse so that the circle was over the top of the spot and then click.This should then make the spot dispear. I did this over and over again until i got rid of the majority of spots and redness.
Shutter Speed

Here I also used fast shutter speed, and as you can see I was captured some movement blur; therefore I used a faster shtter speed on this image.
Here I used a slow shutter speed. I used 1/10th second on this image. This captures all the light and creates motion. This is a slow shutter speed as the shutter is open for a longer amount of time so the means the it can let more light in and creates a shape or image from the light that it is taking in. The longer the shutter speed the more movement of light that is let in

Here I used fast shutter speed as I wanted to capture the movement very quickly. I used fast shutter speed instead of slow shutter speed, as it stops my subject in it's tracks,it freezes the subject. In this case my shutter speed needs to be faster than my subject is. Here I used 1/200th second to enable me to capture the subject.

Here I have created a vampire using photoshop. I did this by selecting an image and then using the burn tool I added darkness around her eyes and lips. I then used the sponge tool making sure it was on desaturate and then coloured in all of her face with this tool apart from her eyes and mouth. I then used the magnetic lasso tool and selected around her side tooth. I wanted to make this into a fang so I went to edit, transform and warp. I pulled the tooth down a altered the tooth to make it look like a fang. I did this on the other side tooth. I then created a new layer on top of the image and coloured her eyes in red. To then give her red eyes I changed the laer to soft light and changed the opcaity.

CD album cover;
I created a CD cover using stamps. I did this by going onto brusheesy.com and looking through the different stamps they had. I downloaded a few different ones so that I could test them all out to see which I thought was most effected. I found that using differnt flowers and leaves in different colours not only worked well together but also went well with the name of the band. Once I downloaded these stamps I had to go onto photoshop and click on the down arrow at the stamp and click load stamp, I added my stamps and then I could start my album cover. I changed the colours of each different flower stamp I used so that each indivdual flower/leave stood out and so that there would also be many different colours working together. I kept a colour scheme of pastel colours as I found they looked most effective. I then went onto dafont.com and selected two different fonts. One for the band name and the second for the song name. I tried to keep in mind my theme of nature and tried to select the fonts that also represented nature. I then added my text and added different effects such as emboss and a glow. This made them stand out against the background.
Photoshop; Zombie Work
Creating a Zombie;
Here I created a zombie by only using photoshop. I did this by firstly selecting my image and trying out different effects. I then copied an image of a rusty wall and pasted it on another layer on top of my chosen image. I then put the opacity down so that I could see the model behind and I cut out around the model so i had only selected the parts on the model and not the wall. I deleted the outside of the rusty wall. I then merged the images together and added more effects to the image it make it look more realistic.Photoshop; Cross Processing
Using Curves;
On this image I alteered the curves and levels. To do this I went on adjusments and then went onto levels. I then moved the bar along the bottom so that they started as the black points went up. I then went onto the curves. Here I changes the red, blue and green curves. This meant it would adjust how much of that colour was in the image. Firstly I changed the red so that the line was a 's' shape, the bleue curve I also altered to a 's' shape. I then changed the green, and I made this line diagonal. Depending on the image and how much colour of each you wanted changed how definate the 's' shape and diagonal lines were. I then added an adjustment layer and filled it in yellow, I then altered the opacity of this layer so I could see my model. This gave the image a rustc look. Finally to finish the image off I added vinyetting. This was to make it more eye catching and focused on the model.

Photoshop Basics;
This is my original image with no editing done to it. Below I have edited this photo three times. The first one I did, I desaturated the colour and edited the brightness and contrast. The second one I added vinyetting, edited the brightness and contrast. I also changed the unsharp mask and also played with the dodge and burn tool and lastly I changed the auto colour. All of these different changes make the photo have different connotations.

On this first change I desaturated the photo. This means I took all of the colour out of the photo, so there would only be black, white and grey shades on the image. I also edited the brightness and contrast, this was to enhance the blacks and the whites in the image, instead of it being all greys. I used the brightness to control how bright the photo would be, whether it was really light or very dark, this depended on what the image was going to be used for. I then used the contrast to control how dark the black would be and how white the white was.

This second image I edited the brightness and contrast, I did vinyetting and also used the dodge and burn tool. Firstly I did the vinyetting. I did this by adding a feather of around 90pts and then drawing an oval sized shape around the models face and part of her body, I then went to select and inversed the selection, this means that it selected the outside of the main part of the image instead of the models face. I then edited the brightness and contrast, this made the outside become darker, and I controlled how dark I wanted it too be. I did not make it too dark, I wanted it to just blend in, using the feathering also helps this as it makes the selected edges fade in rather than just cut off.
This last photo I only changed to auto colour. To do this I went to the the top bar and clicked on image, i then selected auto colour. This then automatically altered the image slightly. It is meant to change the colous in the photo very slightly to give it better colours and make the image look better. However sometimes it does not change it the way you think looks good and if this is the case you can just undo the auto colour. Although most of the time it is changed it looks more professional than the original image.
